Knuck, If the frame isn't toast, I'd go for it. Definately worth pullin' it out and takin' a good look at that price. Olson
Jonney, I'd give the money for it. What you have there is an AWESOME buy for a car that makes a VERY cool custom. Even if the frame is a bit rough, I'd still go for it............heck my 58 Chevy has soooooo many patches on its frame. Don't ask. I gave 400 for my Catalina and it's not even HALF as cool as that 60 is. My uncle's got one.......ahem, I'm waiting ever so patiently for him to get bored with it. I'll get after Whodaky and see if he'll be kind enought to send pictures of the 60 Catalina he did a model of...........very subtle and lovely car. xxx Brandy *THANKS for thinkin of me!
I am trying to work out a deal, that if I supply my labor with helping clean up his land and get ride of some of his cars that I might be able to get the Cat for my labor fees. Jonney
The only problem I see is going to try and get a front windshield for it. Hopefully once I get some more security for my dogs squared away I can work on getting the Cat. Jonney
Sad to see such a bad ass car just rotting there. There is one semi-local... those are beautiful cars all fixed up. Save it!
Windshields pop up. I saw that in the pic...I wouldn't worry too hard over it. Just make sure it's for a ht and not a sedan...they are different. But, you can use chevy, buick, olds too, as long as it's ht. Hell ya pull that sucker out and check the frame. Olson
Damn that is a beautiful model. It has got me thinking of purple. But I still think a medium podwer blue with a metallic white top and scallops would look good also. But what do I know I have shitty taste in colours ( as said by my fiance) Jonney
Don't let the patina scare you. That thing looks straight overall. I don't even see filler or patch panels. Mine was far worse. The windshield will come up on ebay or the like eventually. I found a backshield for mine which is nearly impossible. When all is said and done, that is the perfect selection for a kustom. Certainly worth the investment. Final words, remember the rule, it will be double what you think to restore it.
