Yes, that car was in a few magazines in the 80's, even on the cover of one that had a street racing feature if I recall. Since my divorce and move 6 years ago, All my magazines have been boxed and stored at my parents place an hour away. Hoping to be getting them back out over the winter and I will find the ones with that car.

The thread is pro Cragar wheels, not a poll to which you where asked if you liked them. Troll on down the road and start your own threads.

  4. Hey Finch are you Channeling Dean!

And there are MANY wheels worse than Cragars - Like Keystone Classics, Any Steel modular, Most of the shit from the 90's .....

  6. Rick, you beat around the bush too much. Tell us what you really think.:D

I'm with Don, Keystones are way uglier! And nothing good automotive came out of the 90s. :)

Cragar G/Ts... now, but had a set of Super Stocks (not Super/Sports) 15x6s in 1966. Super Stock centers were bare aluminum not chrome.

  13. I turned 16 in 1976. I had a set of 14x6 reverse Cragars that I put on two '70 Cutlasses, and a '69 Chevelle. Bought another set for my '66 Tempest. On these cars, they were the SHIT. However, unless they're on a vintage drag car, IMO they SCREAM '70s. On the other hand, The Chrome Reverse Wheel is a timeless classic. They started showing up on Kustoms and drag cars around '58, so the era correct application base is huge. ANYTHING '69 and older will benefit from a set of these.

When you look for them on craigslist try misspelling it. I've seen plenty of good deals on Cragers, Kragers, even Craigers oh and don't forget the ss.

I'm in the minority. I never have and never will liked Cragar SS wheels. Just my preference. I do, hoever, love Torque Thrusts. I've had a few sets and believe they can improve damn near any car.

    Cragars are great.

And you can thank Roy Richter for that bit of '60s style, as well as the Bell helmet. If you don't know the name, look him up.

I am looking for a complete set of 4-lug Cragar's that would fit the 1965 Mustang and/or Falcon. I know it's a needle in the haystack, but I will never stop looking.

    thanks,
    kevin

My three favorite wheels. ET III, Halibrands and Cragar SS. I am glad they made a million of these to keep the cost down.

    7 & 8 on this '57 Vert .......................
The Vette I don't remember what size we put on it.............
If I had another '57 to build it would be like the black 150, a combo of Cragars & Chrome Reverse........................
The Black 150 pic was borrowed off the web!
