Helping a friend clean out a guys pole shed the other day and i ran accross a set of these hubcaps, i am trying to figure out what they fit, they are alot along the lines of the 51 ish ford hubcap with the F in the middle. i was thinking lincoln but dunno, did a google image search and cant come up with anything.

That looks to me like a close-but-no-cigar copy of the Lincoln/Continental logo, which suggests it's an after-market cap. Cleaned up, that would look good on a custom.

It doesn't show up in the old house of hubcaps 46-58 book. Rod n' Kustom is probably right.

  5. The cap itself looks just like the stock dog dish caps from my '54 Ford Customline.

If its rusting its steel, so probably cheap aftermarket.

It is steel but very very heavy, i still dont think aftermarket, the the big star and 4 little starts are all seperate and attatched to the round medalion in the middle. i was also thinking aftermarket because it is steel but it is built so well it doesnt scream after market like all the other aftermarket hubcaps i have and have seen.

They are so very close to the same shape of the 51 ish ford caps its crazy.

    anyone else have any ideas?

What is the outside diameter? Any markings on the inside?

No markings on the inside anywhere, they fit 50 merc wheels, i can measure them.

I'd second the Lincoln guess, because of the star.

If you google 1952 Meteor pictures you'll see a bunch of cars with them on. Super cool looking, I'd totally run those on my car if I had them.
