Anyone ever used the Denman bias truck tires such as this one: http://www.coker.com/store/customer/product.php?productid=16247&cat=368&page=3 Now that my truck's not my daily driver, looking for a nice looking, nice driving, cl***ic tire. I don't dig the way most radials look on a lowered truck. Thoughts? -David
I am running them on the back of my roadster. I have been for 4 or 5 years and have been happy with them. I had a set on the back of my A too but had one that wouldn't balance out so I ordered a replacement and it took 2 months to get so I ended up ordering a set of Firestones, I like the look allot more. I bought my Denmans from a local tire shop, they were about $76 bux each. They are 10ply so they weigh a ton.
eyeball, you like the look of the Firestone's a lot more? I guess another reason I like the Denman is it's heavy duty and I've still gotta be able to haul a bunch in the old 3/4 ton if need be. Shouldn't be a problem with 10 ply. Cooper makes a cool bias in 8 and 10 ply but the cheapest I found is $110 ea. http://www.coopertire.com/us/en/ProductDetails.asp?ProdType=LtTruck&id=122&***le=Light+Truck+Tires
I was very happy with coker tire I stayed with a bias tire, the ride is not bad at all, and you just cant beat the old school look.
Don't get me wrong, I love the thumb nail side walls on the Denmans I just like the look of the Firestones better on my A. The tire shop I got mine from sells them as trailer tires for farmers.
Hey dsanchez, I've got Coker whites on my '54 Pontiac and I like 'em as well. I just wouldn't trust 'em with a bed full of concrete. What size tire you got there on your C10? Thanks for the input Eyeball. -David
