Hey ! I was wondering if anyone had a blueprint for 28 Chevy coupe, there is a blue print of a late 20s Ford A on the Hamb main page,, that was a real tease!! does anyone have it for the late 20s chevy? I need measurements on windsheild posts, widths , roof , rumble seat , rear widths ... ect i have a lot of work to go... not that i can't handle, just wish i had accurate measurements to study while working through it. thanks so much !
Great to hear that another early Chevy is coming back to life! PM Ghost28, but also post on the termites and bowties thread- there's alot of good info/help there. AND search old car manual project on google- you should be able to pull up a copy of the '28 manual. What are your plans for the car?0
I don't have any blue prints for chevys, but I do have a 28 sedan in my posession that I can get some of the measurements you mention from it. I did get your message let me know what I can help you with in your build. What are your plans for the coupe full fenders, chopped etc? ....
thanks! Termites and bowties what a thread ! Ghost ... thanks for the help, amazing work and photos, thanks for sharing. Well unfortunately plans have changed... and very quickly they did, picked up a 28 roadster cowl doors and rear quarters , so roadster it will be. Full fendered , no chopping , undecided with the windsheild situation , it seems to be really high.. Does anyone know how tall the windsheild frame is on a 28 roadster? Also does anyone have a photo of the door hinges where it goes into the wood? I have the original wooden pillars and the hinges on the doors but seems like Im missing something, it will all be made out of metal anyway but I want to study the original design first. Thanks again and sorry for not reporting back sooner!
I have a DVD which is labeled "1928 Chevrolet Detailed Engineering Specifications" "104 Pages" I don't remember where I got it. Maybe from www.fillingstation.com. I have bought 28 Chevy parts from them and they were OK.
there was a 28 chevy roadster survivor for sale at Hershey. my camera died, maybe another Hamber got some pics.
