I'm still fresh and new. I have a line on a 57 F100. I know it has the original 3.7, 4 on the floor and, being a 57', has a 9" rear end.

Being completely ignorant, can anyone tell me a few things?

Is this 4 on the floor 3 forward speeds and reverse or 4 forward and reverse? How would it perform at highway speeds?

    3.7 what?

If that is the engine size, give it to me in cubic inches I'm too old to want to learn metric.

It should be fine at highway speeds of 55 to 60. You will have a granny low first gear that you would only need if your pulling a heavy trailer. Most of the time you can start off in second gear.

Does anyone know if this would have the pull handle overdrive?

No it doesn't, but Advance Adapters in Ca makes a really cool little over drive box that installs between the bell housing and transmission. I put one in my Chevota and loved it.
