That was the Moonkist T-bucket built by Randy Bianchi in the early-'70s. He also built Rob Montalbine's orange '34 five-window with the Deuce grille shell and blown, multi-carbed early Cad that was at the show. Cool pictures.
GREAT photos !!! I was there from the Thursday kick-off party to Sunday afternoon and STILL missed a couple cars that you found.
Good stuff Tom. I saw your car there and recognized it from the OFC group but I never did find you. Were you the guy walking around with the "camera on a stick"?
That was me. Sorry I missed you. I was on the lookout for a good local place for seafood, bet you could have put me on the trail. What a good show, beats the hell out of the NSRA national event in my book. Just quality cars everywhere you turned. There was so much good stuff it was hard to choose what to shoot.
I have a shot of that car from the Nats East when it was in Timonium back in the late 70's. I thought it had been wrecked since then.
Quality for sure! I was a little embarr***ed taking my 40 in there! Next time I see you wandering around with your "stick camera" I'll stop you and say hi.
Absolutely. That 40 is one of my favorites. FWIW I fixed to picture of the speedster...took out the other car.
Yup, did he build that car before the T buckets? Seems like it has been around forever. Gotta love a tunnel ram Boss 302!
I spent a lot of time with Tommy Gallitano over the weekend. He had Randy build it, and it was totaled soon after. It was then rebuilt exactly as it was. Awesome car, and great guy. Timeless.
This car is on the cover of Ganahls second Lost Hot Rods book. Was actually on Craigslist recently.Man, I love this thing.
Ha Ha, more like poop on a stick according to my wife when she's mad...and she was mad at not getting to go to Baltimore.
What a great event. Usually you have to pick through 4000 cars to like 12 of them. At The Revival we tried to be methodical but every where we turned there were great cars and wonderful people. The result was just walking around taking it in. And the weather....wow ! One other thing....the band at Fells Point......excellent, please invite them back.
