Where on earth can you get some of that old school flexible metal tube for making a road draft tube? I think its like 3/4" id or something close. I need like 4-5 feet of the stuff. Any help would be appreciated.

A road draft tube is an crank case ventilation system. It's simply just a tube from the side of the engine block extending down towards the ground. When the vehicle is moving the positive pressure across the tube evacuates the built up pressure and g***es in the crank case.

Rod draft tube never get very hot at all,so you could just use hot water hose or like hi PSI oil line hose. If you make it your self out of 3/4in. EMT or what ever, trick is that it must hand down in air flow under car and be cut so hole is back side of tube=slanted to help pull from tube. Lots guys just put in PVC valve going into carb

Check with an auto parts store for the flexible black corrugated tubing with the metal foil interior that was used in days of yore. I think air cooled VW's used a fair;y small diameter one that could be slit and clamped if it's too big. Came in maybe a three foot length. Cheap and quick and simple.

Later years GM used rubber hose. I used some on the 55. Have not fired it.

Rubber hose works just fine. Most diesel trucks used rubber hose up in till 2007 then had to have closed crankcase system
