Can anyone identify what this mirror came off of?

    I sure do like it, anyone know if it's even American? Any info would be great i.e. era, make etc. Thanks folks -freezerburn

    First thought was a biplane then I thought a Hupmobile, but after closer examination Im thinking they are suction cups and not mirrors at all? Haven't a clue... good luck!

    Lol, seriously though I like the dog bone type pivot mechanism instead of the friction ball and socket type we are all familiar with... Thanks for the encouragement nonetheless -freezerburn

    looks like a hinge mount. probably aftermarket if you can't find a part #.
     
  8. Just a guess, but the joint style makes it look high quality. Possibly a spare tire mount type.

    That is a great point, what era would those type mount systems have been most prevalent? Absolutely any thoughts please post them, I have hopes this will lead to the answer eventually. Thanks again 'Chev and W'olf -freezerburn

    I'm thinking that maybe this level of quality would include the steam car era possibly?
