Hi guys need your help I have chance to buy this Moon tank with a hand pressure pump. Can anyone let me know a rough idea of what it would be worth. And any more info like if it's an early one? Thanks

Nice but kind of peculiar with the pump and a vent on the tank and high pressure gauge. May also be not so old with that tag and hoop brackets? I'd guess the right guy might give $350.00 - $450.00

Definitely a poseur. I drove one for years on the street and believe 200 lbs. is a little high for carbs, especially 97s.

Our 10-gallon rear tank was pressurized for street driving. Lots of pumping when the level was low, just a little, but often, when it was high.

That small tank has not much use for compe***ion, either, as it would not maintain pressure.

Wont maintain any pressure with a breather welded to it. I had one on my altered. about half full it would hold pressure for 1/4 mile OK. Full it was worthless.

Ask the guy what he wants for it.

Thanks for all the replys, some very useful info.

  8. Is the pump meant to pressurize the tank or is it set up to be a primer further down the line. (Fuel injection?)

When Dean was selling them it pressurized the tank for mostly carbureted cars. On my altered i ended up using it to pressurize the tank and push fuel into the injectors as a starting primer. It was not made or used to pump fuel directly.
