the only thing close, that I recall...

there was a thread about some strange spoked wire wheel, that the edge or lock ring was not symetrical, and one hamber IDed it as a Rolls Royce wire, but they always had a cover like these, to hide the way that rim edge was shaped.

I think it was a few months ago

I don't know how to post pictures here yet there was a company from 1912 to 1935 called the Marmon motor company (herrington) didn't come into the picture until 1937 marmon/herrington were know for there 4wd conversions for ford anyway look up 1932 marmon hcm prototype an you will see how them hub caps are almost identical
