53 ford customline grille

    I am in need of suggestions on how or what to use to replace the grille on my 53,

    I'd cut out the center ribbed part and weld the ends back together so it was shorter and fit inside the grill opening,least that would be easy and cheap, and you have what you need already.

    I'm going to use a 54 Desoto grill in my 53 Ford. Here is an example (not my car).

  4. Tube grills look okay, '54 chevies and desotos look really good too. Im either using a chevy, or a shortened and floated '54 ford grill in my car. Im not sure if I have the abillities to be able to do what I want, so I might use a '54 chevy.

    Another vote for the Desoto grille...I think it is one of the best to use in that year Ford....

    A '55 plymouth is almost a bolt in,did that to my '53 back in the early 60's:cool:

    I'd restore the stock '53 grille. I think it was one of Ford's better efforts.

    i agree with the desoto or chevy teeth, they look clean that way
