Is a TH350 Kickdown cable Nessasary???

I am not running one either. Working fine for me.

 

The only issue I have found with not running on is as I said last year, the trans may shift gears before you would really like it to shift. On my 71 GMC 350/350 with bad detent cable and 4.11 gears I'd be in third by the time I got across an intersection in town. Half the time it was shifting to second before I got across the crosswalk. Other than that no problems. After I finally got a new cable and hooked it up I didn't notice a lot of difference.

 

You may have had other issues. The kick down doesn't do anything, unless you're at WOT. IF, it's hooked up right.

 

if you dont run the cable your ok just dont forget to plug the hole. yea I made a mess in the garage

355 sbc blown and underdriven 871 weiand with th350 with shift kit steel 31 chev coupe maybe 3200 pounds full fenders fuel and me maybe 3200 pounds with kickdown and I have scared myself several times but once you know the potential its a pile o fun not necesary but fun. 700r4 is a must and adjusted correctly.
