Projects droping front end of 1940 plymouth

    Hey guys and girls I am looking for some ideas of droping the frontend of my 1940 plymouth coupe withthe stock 40 frontend what have some of you done without going to dropped spindles

    ...not sure about the '40, but look at the plate/support for the bottom of the spring. Is it mounted on the top of the a-arm? If it is similar to the later models then you can relocate the plate to the bottom of the a-arm for a 2-3" drop.
    Poke around with the search ****on. There are photos posted of this.

    I'm not recommending this, but the previous owner of my 40 used spring clamps up front to get about 2".
     
  5. I haven't had one apart but I'll bet you can turn the uprights over for about 3-4" if drop. As I recall it is just a king pin suspension.
