Great news Billy O is going to run the rolling bones reliability run oct.12 check bones site .great people great fun.
Bill Coleman Hi Folks. Short Notice but “what the Hey” we are doing it again. Once again, the notorious High Speed Division with a representative from the Low Speed Division is assisting in planning the Annual “Rolling Bones Reliability Run” as Mr Bones himself is busy with shop projects and green slime. We will gather again at a familiar spot on Saturday the 12th of October, “MJ Tucker’s” on route #8 in Standisfield, MA at 11:00am. We have arranged for the Super 8 in Rocky Hill, CT for a block of rooms at a special price of $71.99 per night. Mention the Rolling Bones and or Bill Coleman’s name to let them know you are with our group. They will hold some rooms until the 10th of October. Check the “Rolling Bones” website for info. We’d Like to get an idea of interest so please let us know by email or phone. Look forward to hearing from you and seeing you on the 12th. If you are into more than power parking like some people than join us for some real fun with Hot Rods! And by the way we are taking a ride thru some great country roads and ending up at the Fall Out!!!!! This way you get to do both.
The “great news” as Billy O mentioned, is that Matt's Hot Rod Fallout show is super and that it will be a destination on the Rolling Bone's Reliability Run on the 12th of October. Join in and that way you get to drive your hot rod through some great fall scenery in the company of other like minded folks and their hot rods ending up as part of a fantastic show in Glastonbury as guests of Matt and his crew. From Glastonbury it is off to where we are staying overnight, some good food that evening and then off again on Sunday morning for a neat ride culminating in the cash awards at a great lunch spot. Hope to see you then. For more information check the Rolling Bone's web site "www.rollingboneshotrodshop.com" or email Billy O at "billyohsd1@hotmail.com" or Bill Coleman at "bills48s@comcast.net"
That is good news oh boy let me get the primer out and start painting! After spending all week at Hershey wont be alble to make the LONG drive!
Just wondering why such a renown builder of flat head engines with a impeccable reputation for standing behind their work would even lower themselves enough to step on someone else's event and then make some sort of snide sideways remark about the hot rods that they drive?
Lighten up its all in good taste knowing the drive includes the Fallout is great! Fun times for sure. Valve in blocks forever or fatheads when needed.
I`m in as long as Jake is running, sounds like a good time. Hope i am welcomed my car is a bit hokey, loud,ok obnoxiously loud and needs alot of primer paint.... But then again its a Nostalgic HOT ROD not a Street Rod. I cant afford all those shiny parts and those fancy shocks and springs..
Matt, Looking forward to your show as part of the run. Weather looks good for the 12th. See you then!!!
We can't wait to go!! Thanks to Billy o and 48bill and ROLLINGBONES 1A! We have met some great people who know how to have fun! Everyone that participates is never disappointed! There are all kinds of cars and trucks that are on the run, it is not about how great your car is, it is about how much fun you have with everyone. We really appreciate the involvement in setting up the whole event, from gathering at MJ Tuckers getting your instructions for the 100 mile or so ride the first day and ending at the HOT ROD FALL OUT VIII, which is an awesome event to go to, check out some great cars and trucks!! Then it is off to dinner!! The next day you get more instructions for another adventure!! If you can make it, you should because it is laid back and it is one of the last hurrays before the snow flies!! This says it all!!!
It looks like the weather is going to be with us. Looking forward to good times with Cool cars and good friends!!!
Rooms are still available at the hotel, Super 8 in Rocky Hill, Connecticut, 860-372-4636. When making a reservation mention my name, Bill Coleman, and the Rolling Bones for the reduced room rate they have given us for the run. See you all for a great fall New England weekend driving some neat roads and not just sitting at what has become the normal "rod run" eg: "rod sit or rod park". Folliage this weekend promises to compliement the great people and their neat rides.
Well here are some of the pics from the Reliabilty Run!! I will keep posting! What a great time with a bunch of fun people and many thanks to Billy O and Bill C!!! If you are interested in a fun drive thru the back roads and some beautiful scenery then you will have a great time!!
Well this is the end to our fun time on the Reliability Run, in the end 3 guys went home with a Reliability Run T-Shirt and 3 guys went home with cash prizes!! Not bad!! See you all next year!!!
