this is my first pass in my A at Reynolds ga silver dollar raceway, runwhatyoubrung last month, met some great hambers and also won the hard luck trophy because I blew my intake gasket.......12.13 104 mph, spun off the line and hit the rev limiter in 1st and 2nd.......priceless.... worth every hour and dollar spent....... http://youtu.be/1KVtB1QX0Dk
Nice! That's pretty quick for that MPH what are your 60' times? Can you post some details about your car too?
Cool video, Bobby, yeah, I was up on top of that platform on back of my truck when you made that pass. Anybody that would fix one problem, only to have another knock you out again deserved the hard luck trophy, for certain! To those of you in the southeast, Bobby is one of the latest hot rodders to discover that the annual RWTB Nostalgia Drags @ Silver Dollar Ravceway, in Reynolds, GA is a fun event, laid back, all the time you need to run all you want, overnight free camping, a car show, and good people to partyi with when the racing day is done!
the 60 ft was 1.653 the 1/8 th was 7.564 at 87.85 , this motor was built back around '85 and raced in a 3/8 th mile chevele dirt track car for three years, 355 cu., reed cam, iron double hump heads, my friend jody blalock kept the motor all these years and put it in the A for me and got it running, gonna try to get in the 11's at Atlanta. either way im happy, as far as the low mph the car seemed to flatin out right before the finish line, not enough cam, timing, fuel pressure, ??? who knows.....we'll see thanks everyone for the good words, ...............a lot of people helped with this build jody blalock, 49 Hudson 10 sec car, jody jr. 47 Hudson , high nine car and the hamb...........
Bobby all aftereffects of the little tumble are gone, and have been for awhile, as I told you then I was more concerned about you cause my big fat ass fell on you!
I think so too, I was hoping for at least a 15. but was really shocked, coming from a motor that my buddy jody built 20 years ago for a 3/8 mi dirt track car and then ran it for 3 years befor putting it up for all that time
