    I like the color.
    Why not hide the modern day speakers and attach the panel with blind/snap in clips instead of exposed screws/countersunk washers?
     
  5. Ya,,, what he said. What about painting the speaker grill and screws to match? At least they wouldn't jump out at ya. But I like the rest of it.

    I agree on the speakers, they stick out like a sore thumb but the screws at the top should be hidden by the window molding when it goes back on and If I remember correctly my 51 had some exposed screws with those washers when I had it. They may have been put in by the guy who redid the interior in the mid 50's though rather than stock.

    The window garnish will hold the top of the panel in place,so you don't even need top screws. That speaker cover BLOWS! There's gotta be something better you can find than that cover. I'd do a search on the internet.
    It's like when you see a really *****in Custom,and it has ugly speakers in the rear package tray. It just grabs your eyes away from any nice details around it.
