Its a long drive , but my buddy and i are driving from here all the way down for pomona on jan.18th.Sure would like to say hello to some of u fellas allong the way or at pomona. Let me know if anyone will be there.-----ray the merchog

the huge Turlock swap is the very next weekend, the 24th and 25th...
you should try to make that one too if you're driving that far...


not to mention, the Grand National Roadster Show is at
Pomona the same weekend as Turlock too...

theres always bobs big boy in burbank... also, a friend tells me there are usualy small things in downey, more or less just cruise in's like bobs, can find out for sure

 

no my mercs arnt ready for the road yet.will be driven the pickup truck.goin down the middle of nevada and death valley to pomona.will take 5 days to get there with stops in every small town lookin for cars. If anyone has show along the way please let me know. will be heading home a different route . But not sure wicht way yet. It depends on the winter weather along the way---------ray

 

Which way you guys going? Down I-15? Let me know. I'll tell you about a few places I found while doing my photo book. Might cost ya a pair of '49 inside door handles!

 

goin down15 in montana down to pocatello idaho.then on 30 to twin falls.93south to wells nevada.93 southto Ely. 6south to tonopah nevada.95south to pahrump.across death valley to california...ITs all the back way ;but thats what we like . we stop in every town and drive the back alleys.

will probley return via pheonex and vegas and salylake city-----who knows . my buddy and i take these trips every winter. where we end up nobody nows. we take our cell phone and report to the wives now and then. so if there is anyone along my route ;id like to see some of you -------ray

 

I'm going to be in Pomona Jan 23-26. Main purpose is to go to the "Oakland" Roadster Show. Plan on visiting So Cal, Moon, Peterson. What esle shouldn't I miss on my first ever trip to the LA area?

every saturday at Fudruckers resturant in Pasadena they have a cruise in. Bob's big boy is okay. not sure what day it's on though. they also have a cruise in at Frisco's 50's style burger stand in Downey. i've been to that one several times. it wasn't that great.

i'll be at the pomona show with my brother he only lives a few blocks away from there. not sure if you know about the L.A traffic a lot of stop and go.

 

If your drivin thru Ely Nevada,dont bother with the huge junkyard on the left up on the hill(***hole/waste of half a day)you need to go to the buffalo ranch,its 17 mile outside ely.Its a mom and pop place with a small junkyard all old tin,and you can eat buffalo burgers or steaks.Its a trading post.phone is 775-289-8899.Also the Lifters been draggin at Baroma?Barona? in san diego ,1/8 mile strip every weekend,they got there own pits,theres camping and a casino/hotel across the street.Info call Bob 619-933-2506

Well when you get to pomona stop by row 8 space 17. Thats where Desertratrodder and I will be. Usually Hip is there to but he cant get a kitchen p*** this time! His new years resolution was to finally confront her, but I guess that went right out the window. LOL
