  3. i'd say the speedometer is 3-1/8" and the other gauges 1-1/2"

  4. Here are 3-3/8" and 2-1/16" SW's in an "A" panel for size reference.

Where did you get the face plate/instruments basal? Did you make it or buy it?

  6. It started as an original '28-'29 "A" dash panel, I filled the stock gauge holes with sheet metal, used a hole saw to cut new openings to fit the Stewart Warner gauges, and had it chrome plated.

Make sure to fill the original holes before you try to cut new ones with a hole saw:eek: I found out the hard way the hard way the first time I tried

  9. By using the original guage cluster with newer gauges, are you guys staying with the stock gas tank?

that's the plan. Atleast for now.

  11. There is not enough room behind the panel to clear newer gauges.

Probably possible to weld a recess into the tank to clear; but then you would lose the stock fuel gauge and there's the problem on how to mount a new style sender in the tank.

  12. I have a '30 and a 31' guage bezel. I was thinking of putting my volt, oil, and water gauges in the bezel hoping it will fit. I want to keep the stock fuel tank for now.
