Im pulling the motor and transmission out of my 65 F100 and I am wondering if someone has any tips. Should i pull it all out at once in one piece or should I pull them apart? Thanks

Also does anybody recommend an engine builder near Austin?

Its way easier and more time efficient to pull them as a unit rather than going through the hassle of unbolting the bellhousing/torque converter etc while it is all in the car. With a good cherry picker and load tilter you should be able to yank it out in no time.

Make sure your picker can go high enough to get the tail shaft over the core support, you can always drop the truck down after you get the motor un hooked and attached to the picker. Take the wheels off to get it really low! :)

Anybody in Austin want to make a little extra money helping me out with my truck? Looking for some help from someone who has experience with electric, motor, trans and fabrication...ie lowering, chassis and body mods...

  9. or better yet, pull the whole nose off.
