I sure would like to see what an N.H.R.A tech inspection of that car would have resulted in before the run...What do you bet he would have never been allowed to run. That's one fortunate individual who shouldn't be allowed on a track if he built that death trap.
The preceeding is the opinion of the writer and not necessarily the management.

That is one lucky dude; assuming he didn't die of internal bleeding later.
I would agree that that car should never have been out there.

It does NO good to wear a seatbelt if the seat flies out of the car. Another testosterone idiot that doesn't know when to let off!

I'd have to agree 100% - after wrecking the modified fitted with a 'cage and proper seat/seatbelts I know what force they can withstand - this guy obviously didn't have a good seat mount, a good safety harness mount, and probably lacking in other areas... Looked like the car was pretty well powered that he should have had at least some safety euipment...

my dad keeps telling me to put seat belts in my '57, maybe i will....

  11. Holy shit!....hope he went out and bought a lottery ticket after that! Kind of reminds me of a police pursuit video I saw of two mullet heads in a camaro with t-tops. They rolled the car and both were ejected as the car rolled....they passed each other in the air as one was going up and the other coming down!

That'll make you believe in god.

Thing was hoppin like a bunny, I'd have to say no shocks were most of the problem.

  13. Vivid reminder of why I installed my seatbelts with grade-8 hardware.

  14. My 10 year old son just watched this with me. He said, "WOW! It's amazing and I can't believe he survived that crash."

What I said I can't type in front of my son...

What a waste of a shoe box.
Somebody posted a link to that video on the TLB site the other day, that is one seriously goofed up mess:eek: .
Too bad he couldn't resist the temptation to nail it that one last time. lol
It isn't like the run mattered in the scheme of things anyway.Butttt......I guess it is a good thing it was a bye or it might have ended up like the Koretsky&Allen pass the other day with someone drivin' thru his car.

the dial in on the car was only 12.30... there was obviously something terribly wrong with the rear suspension... there is no way that car should have turned like that when he gassed it again...

something was broke... had to be ...

lucky sunofabitch, I wonder why the rear end was jacking like that...is that a set up issue? cause it did it at the startline and down the track. i think that was the rear axle it tossed too?

  25. Stick car that went into heavy tire shake...

He broke something at the launch because the thing was all over the track. I don't know if he got back into it or what since it was doing whatever it wanted anyways.

watch it doing the burn out, it jacks up and down...then it does it only worse when he finally launches it down the track, what would cause that?
