1952 chevy sedan

216 6 with pg worn out.Have 55 235 with 3sp.Will the 216 auto flywheel work on 235.Where are the 216 p***enger car mounts located on engine.My 235 pu mounts are on the side by the front cover.What should i look for to mount the later 235.Thanks Jimmie King

I think starting in '53 the glides were 235's. look at the w ay the valve covers mount. Center bolts-216- perimeter bolts only-235.

 

All PG cars had 235 engines, and some stick cars too. My '52 3speed is a 235 dipper. The valve covers have two bolts till '55. A 235 has the short side tin plate that ends at the head surface, the 216 cover goes up around the plugs.
