I have a 35' Dodge 2dr Touring sedan. It is an all original car, for now. We stored it in a friends garage and a trunk hinge got broken. I can not seem to figure out the proper hinges. Mine are only 5" long and have a total of 4 screws per hinge attaching them. All the ones I find for sale that are listed for my car are 8" long and have 6 screws. Can anyone educate me on this thing? Thanks
Vague memory of the hinges being weak points on those, often replaced. See if you can get pics of yours & the 8-screw replacement.
i will get some new pics in the morning. i have some on my computor but the site says they are to big to post.
If the 6-screw hinges look stronger and are available, that's the way to go, right? Unless you're going full restoration for judging, and ***uming they fit. Do you have pics of the replacement hinges?
I looked at a 36' touring sedan i sold years ago. looks like the bigger hinge will fit, but the bolt holes are in the wrong spots..
