Wash, polish, get it running, "stain" the rust in body color, try to get the interior as usable as possible, win the preservation class at a major concours event.

Maybe the person that started this thread should rethink what is ugly. That car is awesome +++

  8. Yep , still ugly. The hood looks like an upsidedown wheelbarrow. But i did say respect . I notice that about 40 guys out of almost 2000 readers have posted saying it's cool but the rest have no say. BTW , have a look at the big pic ^^^^ just up there a little . Check out the profile of the front bumper against the profile of a '32 Ford bumper.

Sometimes the 1st impression of "ugly" is hard to shake. I think it's simply kool, however it doesn't move me like a 34 Packard Dietrich coupe does.

    Ugly can mean several things..

UGLY BAD - like most of today's cars, no design character, plain jane, can't tell one make from another, disappointing

PLAIN UGLY - no matter how you look at it, while it gets your attention, it's still ugly.. :(

UGLY GOOD - looks that are so unique that while some would consider the design bad looking, the uniqueness makes it a work of art for others

This car fits UGLY GREAT - so ugly it shines!

The Art Deco Streamline look interpreted by a French pastry chef. So far out, it's in.

The fenders remind me of Indian Chief fenders.

Lose the front and rear fenders and that car would make a nice looking hotrod.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder , as they say . Personally , I disliked most '80s cars because most appeared to be so bland and non descript . I enjoyed the 30's styling because it was a time of experimentation in style .
