  13. I gotta' ask a question: Has anyone ever seen that thing run at the strip? I love the look of it, but that's a lot of motor for what looks like a boxed frame w/ holes drilled in it and tiny tires. Seems that it would go 12's due to sheer lack of traction. Kind of a waste of what I would think is a very expensive motor.

We've been over this a hundred times it seems...

I've been around a lot of high horsepower small wheelbase cars and have even driven some fairly heavy ones... And I haven't seen the PPE in over a year in a half... BUT, I personally don't think that car would run anywhere close to the 12's.

I love it though. Coolest art car ever built.

front motor mounts scare the crap out of me , I allways just thought of it as a big model kit .

This is just here say, but the fella who owns NW Customs built a crazy-ass'd, injected 30's something monster a while back & harassed the absolute hell out of Purple People Eater guy. He hemmed, hawed, and cajoled Purple to line em' up...but he wouldn't do it for anything. Leads me to think it really is just a big model. Awful lot of money there to go slow. Still cool to look at though.

  18. you guys kill me, "awful lot of money" my ass, Marky has about 3500 in the ENTIRE car, including the motor, and yes, he is going to run it down the strip, cage is being built by Julio Hernandez, other safety mods come as the money does, but it will go down a racetrack....
Wether it'll go fast, or even straight is another story altogether..........................

Every time I see that thing I think of the "Zingers" back in the 70's.

For 3500 I can see the rest of the car, but that Motor must have been a leftover "Freebie, Zip, Nada" leftover from Jessie...

Does it really matter How fast it is or how much money he has in it? Its Cool and different thats what counts. It looks like they spent a lot of time building it and probably redoing things before it ever got done. I would almost bet there are a lot of flatheads out there that probably have more money in them than he has in this engine and would probably wont run near as good as his.

I know that car well J (Bad Karma). It actually wasn't that one though. Some brute he built a while back. Think he was living in Cali when he built it maybe...but don't quote me.
