Need a little info & was hoping someone here might be able to help. A blower I recently purchased has an odd looking drive on the front. It looks like a pete robinson drive as it bolts on a stock gmc cover...but has a keyed shaft with a coupler, and a pulley similiar to a delta. Unfortunatley it is missing the idler. I have attached a picture for reference...anyone have any history on this kind of drive?
Hi we have seen many of those drives before. Delta and Tom Beatty stuff. Thanks R&P BLOWER SERV. (319)234-8679
I have a MOON calalog dated 1965 with that DELTA drive setup. I also have the later DELTA design I'm gonna use in my '28 A. Do a search here there a couple of DELTA threads.
i've never seen this one where the whole thing, idler arm stud and drive are all on the same plate. i had the one where the idler stud was cast into the front cover.
Yep, looks like early Delta before the one piece covers. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=416333&showall=1
And here's a copy Bowers did in the 70s or 80s. Looks like no logo and a couple extra holes near the swing arm post.
^Neat ad^ any Delta stuff seems hard to come by. Also, here's something interesting I found online about possible repop parts. http://www.myth-racing.com/tag/delta-blower/
