1951 International Harvestor L120

    Hello all! Wondering if anyone knows much about the old IH trucks I just picked up a 51 L120 and its got big 6 suspension im wanting to know if and what all 1/2 ton equipment will pretty much bolt on to it or maybe what all frames interchange or possibly whats the best route for a front stub or donor frame or maybe crown vic front? any advice/help is much appreciated! Thanks guys!

    The Crown Vic front end will require some major mods to fit. What I would do is look for a 1950-56 International 100/110 for the hubs, put them on your axle (yes they use the same bearings) and look at doing a disc brake conversion. you will end up with the same bolt pattern as Ford Ranger, Exploder, and Crown Vic. From there get an 8.8 out of a newer Ford Explorer and get disc front as well as disc rear. You will have to re-locate the spring perches but this is relatively easy to do. The stock frame is plenty strong for hot rodding.

    Thanks! is the 50-56 frames totally the same? And What would you recommend for front discs and a possible how to/what to convert?
