help on head gasket sealer

    does anyone have experience with a good head gasket sealer . I have an aluminum motor with a felpro head gasket . very small seep on front corner ................. thanks .. steve

    The only one I've ever seen work is Zecol Mend***e.

    If its a blue felpro, I put a light coat of silicone sealer around the water p***ages, on the gasket itself. No water leaks. Aluminum head and block tends to move around a bit with heat cycling.

    Have had real good results using Permatex's Hi-Tack Spray-A-Gasket adhesive, it's about the only thing that would keep a head gasket in an Oliver diesel.

    K&W spray coppercoat is good.

    Back in the day we used Aluminum spray paint, I don't know if Aluminum paint is still Aluminum pigment but back then it was.

    i have just spray painted a few old head gaskets and resused them with good luck, i let them dry over night till they are not tacky.

    Leave it alone. In time, it'll prolly seal on its own from aniti-freeze additives,

    I've been using Coppercoat since the '60s, even on the Felpro blue head gaskets. Never a leakage problem.

    Coppercoat has always worked for me on all engines.

    we used a fel pro + copper coat .
    yes we want to leave it on the motor .
