I just wanted to say hello.
I'm pretty much a noobie to custom/old cars although I have been looking at them for years.
I started looking for something that I liked about 8 months ago and I stumbled on this 49 Chevy about a month or so ago and decided that I had to have it. It's a 350/350 combo. Manual steering/brakes (which I'm planning on upgrading). Dual master cylinder. Original front end dropped two inches. Nova rear end. The supercharged motor was removed before I bought it. (I do have the option to purchase the motor. I'm considering purchasing it to install in a different car.)
I've got another hood to replace the one that's on it. I'm not crazy about the hood scoop. It does have to be refinished though.
The car was redone about 8 years ago ? It was a quality restoration according to a few professionals that have looked at it.
Just got an original PA 49 plate on it and I'm having a lot of fun with it.

I had been reading a lot of info on this site about brakes and steering before I decided to join. I'm probably going to start tinkering with it around Thanksgiving.

    I think it's actually a ford color ?
I've got the paint code on the can that came with the car.
I like the color too. It makes the car. IMHO.
