SO as promised for a looooong time...here is a shop update. We have a ton of stuff goingon right now, but this is the stuff we are trying to get done for the Portland Roadster show. If any of you guys are going to the Roadster show this year, dont forget to find our club display. We are going to have these and a bunch more killer cars! A 1938 Bantam g***er...this thing is going to be wild! This is what we are planning to take to Vegas this year. The rear end is going to be shortened so that the tires sit up under the wheel wells. This was just kind of a mock up we did. A 1942 custom Chevy. This was the Chev we started ages ago and had to stop due to lack of funds from the customer. A friend of ours bought it, so it is underway once again!! And a Model A...this one is a lot of fun. Jonah built some pretty amazing seats and floor panels...dont have pics of those yet. Still has a long way to go!
You guys have way too much fun down there ! Love the Chevy, look forward to up-dates ! Thanks for sharing !
I don't think he is... the welds must have broken right before the pictures were taken. how much more weight is gonna be on that sedan to get it settled down?
That bantam is awesome. Im dying to build a fenderless hot rod and that thing makes me sweat with envy
I was thinking the same thing? Are you going to put the body on top of the frame for that "High boy?"
The Bantam frame is meant to be that way. Tha is what is going to give it a killer stance when it is finished. That is the point of a custom. Think outside the box guys... As far as the Model A, it still has a lot to be done to it. The added weight will drop it another few inches over the frame. There is nothing in itnow besides the dash so...
G***ers have fenders, altereds don't have to. Hiboy's aren't channeled, are they? They didn't used to be. If the weight is dropping it over the frame, you might want to stiffen up the floor.
I dig the Bantam, that thing would look wicked with a big ol blower and zoomies stickin straight out! Maybe have a shifter really stick out the top of the roof! Like the song says "**** the naysayers" let's see what you got. I dig em all Cherry!
I agree..........All it needs now is 10 foot hairy puke green wart infested monster driving it....With a blown alky ed pink hemi.... ...hey!....thats my first wife! ....I dig it.
I love the bantam! Not much of a highboy fan but hey it looks pretty solid alos. Keep up the good work all!
Yeah, we were rushing to get the pics taken for the Roadster show application. Plus, it is Washington...rainy and dark this time of year. I will post more when they come a little further.
that bantam is crazy! i mean that in a good way. but how is the motor gona be mounted with the frame that way? still very cool though. heres some pics for inspiration.
Cherry, I see where you were going with the frame, just wondering how that motor is going to look at that angle....
