Technical Unidentified hood ornament

Does anyone know what this hood ornament is from? It was attached to a hood we found in a 1904 barn that we just purchased. The hood weighed a ton, but was tied up in the barn rafters.

 

Looks similar to early '50s Buick, not sure.

 

Yup - my first thought too - and those hoods do weigh a ton

 

I'd say around a 57 Buick.
