Technical Window channel mods

I am thinkin about removing my wing windows,stock window and rol up mechanism an run plexi with a strap to just pull window up.Where do I get the bendable channel to put in my door for the window to run in?Tis my 42 Stude... Also.I would like to find new winshield gasket and gl***....

 

Maybe there are studebaker forums or clubs that can steer you. A note, plexi will scratch like hell after a few trips up and down

If you have a automotive gl*** shop in your town or a trim shop they generally have it in stock. HRP

 

I wonder if I can get some red gl*** cut....

 

Never seen red safety gl*** but I have seen red Lexan. HRP

 

They have red tint film too.

 

I guess whatever I run it will scratch when I roll down the windows....It sure would look grrreat with dark red windows....

 

I have tinted windows in my DD (not red) with 125k and they still look good. Not perfect any more but the tint has lasted thru a set of regulators and I smoke.

 

are those windows flat? if so red tempered gl*** would be an option. a local place did gray smoke windows for me, and said they could do red or blue too. it was suprisingle cheap
