Ever wonder what a Sport Coupe would look like with a steel roof? Here you go.

My 29 Business Coupe w/original , numbers matching 4 Cylinder. if it wasn't an Orig. I think it would be a good candidate for Big & Littles and a V 8....Has the same Body & Top as a Sport Coupe but instead of a Rumble seat it has a Trunklid and instead of Landau Irons it Has Oval Quarter Windows

  7. Hey - VooDoo Twin.... I like those rear fenders. Really appear simple but ... just right.

Thanks, Ed. Yeah, they are just very simple aluminum fenders, probably originally made for a trailer. Added some decorative reinforcements cobbled from a retired street sign, and riveted them on.

Don't see many hot rod sport coupes, I've got a 30 set up with a flathead. Been working on it for a while, started on it and got sidetracked on a mild custom. Just blew it back apart for final build and paint this summer. Started out with 8BA, S-10 T5 and rearend, didn't like where the shifter came out so went back to 39 trans and closed driveline.

  11. Let's see the chopped ones. Love 'em.

  12. Got a question for the experts. If you don't have a top, is there any telltale things to look for that distinguish a business coupe from a sport? I have an AR coupe, but I haven't determined which it is. Trunk/rumble lid is gone. This is all I've got.

Thanks for throwing in the business coupe Dave Mc, I was hoping they would show up here too.

Here's another restored example in a museum in my area.

Here's one just freshly emerged from hiding.
It belongs to a friend's dad who is now in an old folks home, so they have asked me to help sell it for them.

Here it is after moving it (temporarily) to my shop and cleaning it up a bit.
I've been told the banger was completely rebuilt and that it was a running/driving car until his dad got too dang old to play with it anymore.
They asked me to help them determine a price, but I have no idea what these things are worth.

How about a '31 sport coupe style pickup, built in Maine in mid-80s

In this photo, you can also see the 5-window that was also owned by the same guy, which is also temporarily stored at my shop.
The 5-window is a very solid, complete and straight car - but not yet for sale.
The Sport Coupe is now for sale. It is also pretty solid & complete, but a bit more rough.
The door tops had been cut off though.

The only Differences other than Decklid instead of Rumble is in 29 Business Coupe it has an Eliptical Brace and a Short Rear Bow to accommodate the Oval Quarter Windows ( see pic ) the 28 Business Coupe has no Oval windows and shares the same Rear Bow as Sport Coupe

Last night, he offered to sell this to me for $2,500.
I am more into customs - but it is tempting.
What do you think? If it is worth $2,500 I may just get it and let it sit for now.
