that's one of the best things i've sen in awhile!. no places around here like that at all.......unless i go to knotts berry farm.
there is an old guy like that around here. I've never been inside his shop, but from what everyone says, thats how i would have pictured it. The entire place is run by a windmill usually. trey

The town I grew up in had a garage/machine shop that had been around since the '20s. They started out working on the old cars when they were new, then just kept working on them. Made parts, poured babbit, even had a paint shop.Had a machine shop all belt driven off of a big 1 cylinder hit and miss engine, the thing had about a 10 inch bore and two cast iron flywheels about six feet in diameter. Belts and pulleys everywhere. I still miss the sound of that shop when it was running. Looks like some of the same machines in those pictures.
