Have a look at this. http://www.customrodder.com/tech/0303cr_retrofitting_1954_chevy_rb_ifs_ii/ I'm surprised the site still works!
The bag in the thread is a 2600lb contitech. but any 2600lb bag would work fine as long as you have room without rubbing. just make sure that when your suspension is all the way down that the bag is fully compressed and straight. You can compress the bag and put a plug in it to setup your top spring pockets and measure for your top cups. However with some of the front ends we have done we have had to use a 6" Slam Specialties airbag which is a 2500 lb bag so it really depends on what crossmember and control arms and everything else you have to start with. The slam bags are harder to work with when setting everything up but they never get any wider than they are compressed/aired up so they are great for tight spaces.
Sorry to open and old thread but I was just wondering why Vaya43 said slam bags are harder to set up?
You should send a PM. And notice that he hasn't posted since April, and probably won't see this. Cosmo
Because the rubber is thicker and harder to compress by hand. Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
