We'll be keeping an eye out in north/central WI for any parts/pieces/etc.

Hope they find it in one piece. And don't let the douchbags get you down, when something is stolen it ****s, hot rod, muscle, import, if it yours and gets gets stolen the quicker the word is out, the better the chance to get it back....

Jesus.........some people are really a piece of work. Guy is trying to get the word out any way he can and you have to be a ****. Nice way to give people a warm fuzzy feeling about "traditional rodders."

I cannot believe I am actually reading this response! A car guy is a car guy and no matter what kind of car the guy has and it gets stolen, it's very important to us. Next time, maybe they will pick on one more appropriate for this site to steal......SHEESH!!

We all like to help out car guys, but what would you suggest the cut-off year be for stolen cars? 1985? 1995? My wife's 2010 Toyota?

See post 23.......I don't think this thread will roll forever on a trad rod forum...

Absolutely appalling I cannot even believe some of the comments on here....

  8. I have a 70 chevelle but I don't talk about it here (much) out of respect for the site's rules. And although the presentation is harsh, I can see where 30 tudor is coming from .

Its a beautiful car and sorry for the theft but if it were my car I would be hitting EVERY site that directly relates to the Chevelle including the drag sites ... its all about getting your message out there the best way possible isn't it?

I hope this all turns out for the best ... keep us informed.

Regardless of the year.....it's somebody's ride!....I'd probably start looking in salt lick, Oregon first. Hope you find it!

  11. Okay, enough with the drama over the crybaby or the thread will get locked. Off topic or not we should all look out for each other at times like this, just because the car's too new doesn't mean someone might not try to sell us some of the parts out of it for our cars.

  12. its cool this is still on the hamb. i also own a chevelle along with hamb friendly cars.. its a 66 that i have had since high school. thieves are thieves they will steal your car or my car old or new if money is to be made. we are all hot rodders here like a big car family. lets look out for each other. the *** you save could be your own. still looking in se. wi.

    Still looking for the car.

Anyone with any information please call Bob 608-295-4703 or Matt 608-295-4783 Reward has been raised to $5000 for information leading to the arrest.

I did get a phone call from a restricted number stating the car is somewhere in Joliet, IL. I don't know if it's good or bad to post it but I feel that people in that area could be more aware of the car and the possibility of it being moved around.

Thanks again for letting me post this for a guy that I don't even know. He's very thankful for what everyone has been doing to get his car back.

OK. OK. The guy who posted about it being off topic was doing what ALL of us have done in the past. Poor timing on his part. GET BACK TO LOOKING already.

Good point. (That leaves out my wife's Toyota!)
I'm quite a ways away but will make a note of the Chevelle. Good luck on getting it back.

  26. So the cops found the trailer but not the car (yet!). You said the trailer was empty but did the police go to the trouble of checking for finger prints? .... I guess my question is "How hard are the police looking?"

And maybe posting the phone number and addy of the contact person in the police department might encourage someone to come forward. If you already did this, my bad, a lot of distraction.

  27. To the administrators this is an excellent idea!:)

Crete Carrier Corp did this years ago---trailer loads of cigarettes were being hijacked---it really helps.

Kurt, did you post this on the chevelles.com forum? It would be a good idea.

I sent out emails to my Chevelle buddies, hope you find it.
