First of all Big thanks goes to Groucho who sold this killer project to Finland. This little truck appeared to be even better than we expected from the photos. I´m building the PU for a friend of mine who bought it. So here´s few shots what has happened this far. This is how it looked when it came to my workshop (Recyclers cc garage)
at first the plans were to only channel the body 4" and not to chop the roof at all. So I started to work on it. I made the support gage from square tubing 4" above the subframe, cut the subframe amd dropped the body.
Then I centered the body on the frame and made the new subframe sides. After that I made the new piece of subframe to the rear. Welded up the sides and boxed the b-pillar reinforcment brackets.
At this point Jone the new owner of the PU had decided that the car was to be chopped not more than 3". I welded some more square tubing inside the body and started measuring the chop. When it comes to chop, original plans rarely becomes true. That´s what happened in this project also. As soon as I started to chop, Jone told me to cut 4 inches. Not a bad idea at all. Lux... The frame of the car was built by Jimmy Mc Cord a few years ago. It was kind of modified roadster. Very cool car with some neat ideas it was also featured in CKD magazine as Mc Cord special. Jaypee

Thanks 34Fordtk, of course I have the coupe, to be honest I made a little change for the plans about it. I think it´s gonna be wild. I´ll get back to that later... ...well here´s a little info: 303 rocket,6x2´s,4 spd,7" channeling and lotsa chrome. Jaypee
