Traditionally styled rods, customs and racecars were scarcer than ever before at this years SEMA Show. Here are a few I found to be either interesting and/or topical to this forum.

The former Shah's Type 57 Bugatti. Seeing this car in decent light (as opposed to the darkness of the Peterson Museum displays) made the trip to the show worthwhile if I saw no other good cars there. Somehow, Meguiar's Polish managed to persuade the Peterson to bring it to Vegas for their display this year. The white reflections are rows of tiny high intensity string lights. Did I mention that I really love this car?

I was pleasantly surprised to find our own President Cochran sponsoring a flathead/C4 powered streamliner too!

This illustrates how large the show is......I was there for two days and never p***ed by the Mumford "T". It happens every year, I see coverage on the HAMB of cars I didn't see there. One person can not see it all!

The last year I went to SEMA was 2007, it seemed like they were trying to pack more and more vendors in and doing away with a lot of the truly amazing show cars that normally sit on the floor.

Needless to say, if you love cars and modding, SEMA is definitely an experience to be had. Met so many cool people out there at the convention and saw so many jaw dropping cars out there.

I saw that. Who owns it? And the Badman is one of my all-time favories. Saw you running at DOTD, Dan. Nice 38.

I don't care much for Corvairs, but this one was incredibly *****in'!

I wish I could remember their names, sorry. They've been building it for eight years and were planning to take it to Speedweek last September. The day before they were scheduled to leave something happened and sadly they couldn't make it.

They're going for the 307 mph record and hope to run El Mirage this spring.

Great pics, I'm really surprised someone hasn't *****ed about modern fuel injection or billet being on a few of the cars.

We can ***** all we want but their not gonna go away. One thing I didnt post was a pic of the big block engine (454) in the 62 impala that had adapters on the heads and 409 valve covers. I dislike fake stuff.

You might want to re-read the rules. My intent was to keep was to keep it within those guidelines.

Jim Shelton's " Magic Carpet " maroon deuce 'ster was parked in the MSD booth for a reason. It uses an Atomic injection unit and has racked up quite a few trouble free miles since it was installed. Jim states " I'll never use another carb!" . That deuce has about 90,000 coast to coast ,border to border miles on the odometer , it has road rash , a dent or two and does what an automobile was designed to do, drive !
