I bought a mechanical tailshaft housing for my T5 and it came with a small bag containing the parts in the photo. I realize the bearing needs to be replaced, but is the white plastic piece the oil flinger? I've seen some where it looked like a plastic tube cut on a diagonal, but know there are different styles. Thanks in advance for whatever you can share. Dave
There is a T-5 information group at www.inliners.org and you'd be amazed at the numbers of variants and ratio's too. Normbc9
When looking at the back of the ****** before installing the tail housing, it's in the lower right corner, right in the middle of the slider gear.
BUMP I have a 1352-176 WC trans with the "plastic tube cut on a diagonal", as well as a NWC S10 mechanical tailhousing with the same parts as pictured above. Now, I have read all the T5 threads on here and I know I must use the flinger that came with the S10 tailhousing. My question is: do I remove the diagonally cut flinger in the WC trans and slide in the S10 flinger? I tried this and it seemed sloppy.
