I'm not so much building a period correct dirt track car but I cannot make up my mind if I use hairpins or split wishbones on this build I like the looks of both but won't a winter's quick change loom kinda dumb with split wishbones I'm gonna use the stock style rear spring on my duece frame but I have a rear end out of a dirt track car. Front axle will be a v-8 60

  2. Are you asking about the front or the rear?

What type of running gear are you using?

Split bones on the front,,Hair pins would work better on the rear on the rear in IMHO. HRP

Running a winters quick change out of a old dirt track car with a Chevy ii banger and a five speed. Maybe 250 horse on the really high estimate. V8-60 front axle and disk brakes on the back and front and I have them in the parts pile. I want to be safe and have some style but its a hot rod not not so Much a period looking one. It will be on steel and dirt track style rubber
