took my son (amphib Navy) out to breakfast along with all three grandsons today. glad to see a lot of older guys with WWII and Korea ball caps on too, shook a lot of hands, made sure the boys understood that this is a day to honor our veterans, not to celebrate shopping the sales or just another excuse to not have school. They aren't going to learn it in the sorry excuse we have for public education today so they need to hear it from those who lived it. We owe so much to all who served and made our nation great. And Zapato, you are right on, my wife and I (47 years together) often have said we knew if we could stay the course during the deployments when we were first married, we'd make it for the long haul. Very well said Zapato! Let's remember all of those Vets and their families. Being a cop was nothing like what the guys in the service did. We still had our donuts!

A simple "thank you" is not near enough for the debt we owe our service men & women. But right now it's all I have to offer. So, thank you for our protection & freedom. Hope all of you that serve/have served have had a blessed & great day.
Thank you for your service and sacrifices to keep our freedoms that are so frequently taken for granted. Respectfully, Mike
