When Ryan mentioned the cheese-filled B-Movie The Giant Gila Monster a few weeks back, one car immediately came to mind ? Dave Burk?s Model ?A? roadster. To some, this may seem like a strange connection, but for you meticulous readers ...

To read the rest of this blog entry from The Jalopy Journal, click here.
Hmm, I have never seen that car before. I dig it. Perfect color choice. Anyone have any better pictures of it?
More on the "cooling system" would have been nice. You think that blower is just a little bit "overdriven"? Just look at the size of the crank pulley! Interesting rod. Butch/56sedandelivery.
Whoa I started that post forever ago... I still love that car and hope to see it in person some day...
I know Dave a bit and those heads were made by Himself. Dave has some real talent when it comes to all the custom Machine/ hand work and creative Hot Rod things he builds into his Rods. The cooling for the roadster is in the trunk area , Dave has a unique talent leaving items mysteriously missing on his cars . I blame him for getting me into this mess! Den
I can't get that car out of my head.I ***umed the radiator was in the trunk.Overall,I really like it.
Yup cool beans He runs four Carter YH side drafts on this off the blower. I may be able to talk him into some more Pic's. He also built a Carson ? fuel injection setup YES built from a magazine article from the 50's Way cool. Those Burk heads are not covers they are functional cooling the real deal if I remember correct. Den
I told ya he's sneaky you don't see Any fasteners on them things any one notice ya don't see a Alt or gen on there either
I saw the coop he built at a show earlier this year. This guy does amazing work. He completely home built an injection setup for his flathead off of pics in a mag from the 50's. His fit and finish is second to none. At that time he was a recruiter for Wyo-tech.

Awesome! Dave is a cool guy. My first ride in a hot rod was in this roadster almost 20+ years ago. He was a big influence to me and a huge help on building my coupe.
Any source / more info on this Fuel Injection setup?...Never seen anything like it!!...COOL! Throttle Blade / Rotating Fuel Valves...? Idle Screws?? Injectors??? Any Barrel Valve / Return System...? Magneto...
I’ve had had plenty of Scott injectiors. But have Never seen the scotts run successful on there own Would love to hear this run
