Hey guys, my name is Matt. I have been lurking around a while, reading various threads, and figured it was finally time to make a thread myself.

The goal for my project is to keep the body style of these old trucks, but to update the technology in it (mainly the engine/transmission). I attached a couple photos of a work in progress.

Here is my project so far:
    • 1957 Chevy 3100 Stepside Truck
    • Fatman Fabrications stage 3 IFS setup (coilover version)
    • LM7 Engine (LS Style 5.3l)
    • T56 Magnum Transmission (6spd manual)
    • Chevy Blazer gas tank, intank fuel module and fuel pump.
I was looking for advice on what to do for the clutch pedal, brake pedal/master cylinder, and gas pedal. I need a hydraulic clutch pedal, and power brakes. It looks like there are a couple options I could go with for the gas pedal, and the engine uses just a standard cable (not fly by wire), but I can't find anything for the clutch and brakes. I looked around on Kugal Komponents for a bit, but a lot of there stuff looks to be universal fit, and am unsure if any of it will work with the 57 Chevy. I also could not find any build threads of people using them, or doing a similar build that I could look at.

Can any of you guys point me in the right direction on what would be a good option for my project?

    Thanks!

He means that this is a traditional site and yours is more of the street rod type. Expect to get flak from a lot of people on here or to get your thread shut down because it is too far away from the objective of this website. I am not saying you are not welcome, just be cautious what you post and also prepare from the lashing you may receive.

I really like these trucks, so good luck. I hope you find the answers you are looking for and get it on the road

I see... I thought the "Styled" version was where this would fit.
Can you PM me some other forums that I can take a look at if this forum is not where my project belongs?

Try CPP. They offer tons of kits and parts for converting these trucks.

As for an alternate site, try Dogfight....click the link at bottom of this page. Kind of a dormant site though, not a lot of activity. A good one is Hotrodders Forum. Tons of activity there.

    Love your truck!
