When does Summit Racing "keyword USUALLY" have the best discounts ? Last year there was a 10% off most everything sale in NOV. But I've heard roomers of a bigger sale in JAN...got about $1200 worth of stuff to buy.

what all are you looking to buy? i do my best to match or beat summit prices every day. if i can't i'm honest and will tell you to get it where the price is better. if i can you can feel god knowing your getting your same parts and supporting small business. i tell people all the time i can usually come close and you get back up and advise from an actual hot rod shop sometimes that bit of knowledge is worth the coupla bucks extra it may cost ya.

That being said some stuff i just can't touch them on as they get such good volume buy pricing they push me out. hell i'll be honest and say we do sometimes order from them and jegs to...

but for your question yes they do tend to also usually do a % off sale at the first of the year if memory serves correct...ken....

  3. Well said Ken. I do the same. Most of the time I have the same if not better price and can ship faster!

They usually offer 10% off via coupons at the larger spring shows. And the free shipping and handling on orders over $100.00 is hard to beat.

    Thanks Tman.........

It's always nice to hear someone else who understands this fight. Honestly alot of times it's the FREE SHIPPING that makes it a fight for me. yeah little stuff isn't that bog a deal to take that bite on but the big stuff can sometimes be all but impossible. I fought and sold a coupla vintage air sure fit kits(both in a coupla weeks time) with calling and verifying they ship for free before i matched them on that. thats a big hit when YOU bite the $100+ in shipping to help a customer. the bad part is i think my inquiry those 2 times made them think as they don't pay full shipping on the kits as of about 3-4 weeks after those inquiries.

I tell people all the time to call me at the shop and at least give me a chance to fight for their business.

We use to sell ALOT on ebay. their fees have made it all but impossible to sell there anymore. now all the free shipping from the big guys is almost giving the same hit...ken...

Jegs has gone to free shipping now on ALL orders, except those with oversize charges. Just ordered some small parts from them and got free shipping. They also price match anyone else's price.

My feeling is this on "price matching": The guy that originally set the price took the risk first by setting the lowest price. For someone to come after and "match" that price doesn't set well with me. I feel the "matchers" should beat the price.
    My 2 cents.
