get all busy this project, good and bad memory's,car needs to be back on the track.lookin good ,good luck on the project
This will be fun to watch. I watched Bruce McDowel build the original in his mom's garage and run it at the March Meet in 1959.
kickin this back up...like to see some updates......oddly, the blue BNC pic is the same color as mine body was when I bought it..as a retired "supposedly" pro drag topolino, I have never had any luck trying to track it's past..and the guy I bought it from wants to remain unknown...so ....I've been told it has a good chance of having been a west coast car,,due to the painted on Racer Brown Cams logo that was painted on the right side above the door window opening, but on the side before it wraps around to the rear...also, the BNC has what was called trafficators down behind the side vent....whereas mine had them in the A pillar by the windshield....below is one of the few pics I have of the body in it's blue paint that had the logos painted on it.....
James, thank you for posting photos ! The coupe looks to be in pretty good shape....please keep the photo's and updates coming.
Found an old reel of film in one of my dad's movie cameras and had it processed. Turns out to be a meet at the OC Raceway and included a run with the Bad News Coupe. I took a few stills from the movie film and here is one to share. This will be a new never before seen picture. Also will post some more of the coupe in its current stage. Like to hear your feedback. Thanks!
Just posted some news pics if you care to check em out. Since they were taken have front wheels on so it is coming along.
Gary....what are you memories of the Bad News Coupe? It is coming along. I posted pics yesterday. Got wheels on since.
