I know this is a rendering, bun anyone have an idea as to what that taillight might be?

I would be interested in seeing the "real" one for comparison.

Looks like a Chevy tail light lens to me, maybe '38?

Im not sure what taillight that is, but I don't think that those lights look good on that car. That car needs something skinny, or oval like

Look to be 37 Chevy. Some trucks that vintage used the same ones. Lots of repops available cheap.Jack

That taillamp is a horrible one for that car. It appears to be a stock 37-38 P***enger/37-53 Pickup taillamp rim and lense and looks like a bandaid stuck on that fender. These lenses were made to show light straight back and thus were mounted vertically, laying down like that would not be a viable taillamp in function.
Cars in that slick form with those fenders would do better with the knifeblade 41 Studebaker taillamps which were so popular on early customs.

Yes, I too think a Studebaker taillight would look great on that car. Now, where to get some, hmm? ;)

Just a thought but when a artist does a illustration they usually take creative liberties and the taillight could possibly be a figment of his imagination. HRP

Nope. It is definitely based on the original lens as that center 2ring eye is the central feature of the 37-38 lenses. The rendering has a slightly more square appearance of the light but I'm sure it is 37-38 based just because that is what the car is.

Or they could be like these......which are NOT 37-38 or AD tail lights. They are made to be mounted to a flat surface.
