Projects Update on my 50!

    Yesterday, Lonnie and I installed new shocks on the 50. When we took the old ones off, you could easily compress them by hand and they wouldn't even re extend. Lol. No wonder she rode like a mechanical bull!
    We also replaced the front springs with new springs from the Ford Aerostar which brought the front down about 2 inches. Now the stance is aggressive and the ride is smooth. Next project: dual carbs!

    What shocks did you use?

    I'll be doing the same very soon - the springs will show up tomorrow!

    I bought them at Napa actually. They had the rears in stock, the fronts came in next day. They are actually very common and easy to find through Napa. I got the house brand which is a Monroe with Napa packaging. All 4 shocks were $112 or so.

    GOOD LUCK WITH THE 2-2'S Just didnt have any luck with them, blocked one off just for looks now.

    Really? Were they Strombergs or Holleys? What was the issue?
