Okay guys, I admit, I have been lurking here for awhile, and finally decided to wade into the pool. I am back onto an old project (pushed aside for 10 years). A '57 Belair Sedan, and I love the old school look. I am jumping in to see what I can learn, and hopefully give something back. John
Welcome from Winfield, WV. Where in the Mountain State are you located? There are several HAMB'ers in the Charleston area that get together occasionally. Jim
Thanks for the warm welcome! 5Window, I too lived in Auburn at one time.... Actually, three times. My grandfather was once the mayor of Auburn, for what that was worth. I even attended grade school at Auburn Elementary, and my father was the minister at Auburn Baptist Church. If you knew any Sheets's, then you know my family. I am in Parkersburg now. Born here, and came back after several tries elsewhere. I will try to get some photos uploaded. I actually came to this site looking for information on 8stack fuel injection,or something comparable, as my direction has changed on my latest build, and I want to run fuel injection on it. John
Welcome from the Buckeye state. Made the pilgrimage to your neck of the woods many times in October to Pennsboro. Nice country.
Welcome aboard from an old guy that used to live in Short Gap WV !! (Just off of Dirty Foot Road....and not far from Fried Meat Ridge Road) !! And not joking about that !! Miss it a lot...and you jump right in here..
No idea Auburn was so popular! For those not in the know, the 2010 census population of Auburn was 97. I lived there from '75-84. Blown502, I did know some of the Sheets family-Denley and his son, Eudell, the best.
Actually, They must be of another Sheets clan. My Grandfather was Linn, and my father was James. The last time I lived in Auburn was from 79-82. We lived up on Bone Creek.
I vaguely remember hearing your grandmother's name. I think I actually went to church with her. Friendly is very close to us. I used to work at the Union Carbide Plant there at Sisterville. My daughter lived in New Martinsville so I drove thru Friendly once every two weeks or so. Good to meet you all, or since I am from WV.... Yall!
