I bought this Divco yesterday, and really don't know much about the history, value, collectibility, desirability of these cool trucks. Very few have come through the HAMB or eb-y, so I am at a bit of of loss.

The gentleman I bought this from told me this one is in the "History of Divco" book, shown as a Miller beer truck from Heinemen (sp?) Breweries. It used to have 3 beer taps coming off the drivers side and a stainless .... well, trough, for lack of a better word, under them. It is a refrigerated dually, but the compressor broke down and they couldn't find parts to fix it, so they junked the compressor and sold the truck. It still runs (300 straight 6) and drives and stops if you pump up the brakes (found a crack in a brake line I gotta fix). I know the front ends were basically the same from 31-87, and the backends are the parts that varied, but that's it for my new knowledge.

Any more info? Collectible? Desirable? Valuable? (worth fixing or drive as-is)

I will try to post pics. (security token problem?) I will post them asap.

Thanks in advance for any/all help

    Bruce

I think I finally got the pics to post. What's this worth-ish? range would be great. I have no point of reference for one of these.

    Thanks,

You just bought it, tell us what its worth. If you can prove the Miller connection, you might offer to them as a promotional vehicle and make a nice chunk of cash, allowing you to buy another .... Divco.

  6. It is a later one with the less sought after square body, looks like quite a bit of rust, not much more than s**** price, $500 is the most I'd pay.
