I have a 1965 c-10 long bed fleet side. It originally came with a 230 six and 3on the tree. I got rid of the six and put in a 402 big block with a turbo 400 auto, I also added power steering. my problem is the brakes have not been upgraded or any of the suspension. I just put on a new set of radial TA's and took it down to have it aligned and was told the whole front end needed to be rebuilt, upper and lower cross shafts both upper and lower ball joints, they also said the frame is cracked where the power steering bolts up washers were used for spacers, I have ordered the correct adapter plate to fix this problem after I weld up the cracked frame. I was thinking about just biting the bull it and putting on tubular A-arms instead of rebuilding the old ones, and also upgrading to disc brakes, I still have the old single cylinder mechanical brakes. being on a budget what
A-arms and disc brake kits do you guy's RECOMEND or have gat experience with
? Any advice is greatly appreciated!
